Oui, C'est Vrais! C'est la Fête du Vin et Fromage....

Please join us once again on November 13th, 1999 for a taste of our old friend the blushful hippocrene. As Keats said, "No, no, go not to Lethe..." come to our house instead!!

For those of you who have yet to attend a wine and cheese party at 48 Warner Street (or 62 North Prospect St., 26 Beston St., 400101 Sundgauallee, etc.), it's a bit of a dressy affair. We do request that you attempt to look somewhat spiffy, although we're not really going to toss you out on your ear if you don't (but c'mon...just humor us).

When it comes to alcoholic refreshments and various other renditions of gastronomy, we will stick with the same formula that we've used over the years. Please bring at least one bottle of wine for every two people. We'll supply the fromage and grapes.

As for bringing more people, you are quite welcome to bring some friends. However, we do request that you let one of us know beforehand to give us an idea how many guests to expect. Our contact information is at the bottom of the page.

Directions:

From the North:

  • 93 South to the exit for Route 16 East. At the end of the off-ramp, rather than getting on Route 16, take a right. Immediately, you will see a set of lights.
  • Go straight through those lights, crossing over Route 38, onto Harvard Street.
  • Continue along Harvard Street through two more sets of lights. You will then see a railroad bridge approach. When you go under that railroad bridge, you will come to a set of lights immediately afterward.
  • Go straight through those lights, and Harvard St. will magically become Warner St. (same road, different name). After the church on your right, we are the second house on the right, #48 Warner Street.
  • Park on the street in the immediate area.

From the South:

  • 93 North, through Boston until you get to the exit for Routes 28 and 38.
  • Get on Route 38 North toward Somerville and Medford.
  • When you see an MVP Sports and an Oldsmobile dealer on your left, you will turn left at the next traffic light onto Harvard Street.
  • Continue along Harvard Street through two more sets of lights. You will then see a railroad bridge approach. When you go under that railroad bridge, you will come to a set of lights immediately afterward.
  • Go straight through those lights, and Harvard St. will magically become Warner St. (same road, different name). After the church on your right, we are the second house on the right, #48 Warner Street.
  • Park on the street in the immediate area.

From the West:

  • Take Route 2 until it comes to an end by Alewife, and get on Route 16 East.
  • Follow Route 16 through a couple of sets of lights until you see a Foodmaster on your right.
  • After you pass the Foodmaster, you will take your next right on to Powderhouse Boulevard.
  • Follow Powderhouse Blvd through a few lights until you get to a big rotary.
  • Get on the rotary and take your 4th turning on to Warner st.
  • We are the 10th house on the left, #48 Warner Street
  • Park on the street in the immediate area.

With Public Transportation:

  • Take the Red line to Davis
  • Exit the station via the College Ave exit
  • Coming out the exit, take a right on to College Ave, and walk for about five minutes (ten if you're already drunk) to the big rotary at Powderhouse Square.
  • Walk to the right around the perimeter of the rotary (if you attempt and go straight across, you may not live to tell us an amusing anecdote about it) to Warner Street.
  • We are the 10th house on the left, #48 Warner Street
