From the North:

• 93 South to the exit for Route 16 East. At the end of the off-ramp, rather than getting on Route 16, take a right. Immediately, you will see a set of lights.
• Go straight through those lights, crossing over Route 38, onto Harvard Street.
• Continue on Harvard Street until your second set of lights after you pass over Route 38 (a.k.a. Mystic Ave). That second set of lights will be the intersection of Harvard Street and Main Street (Medford).
• Take a left onto Main Street and continue a couple of hundred yards until you come to a fork in the road with a parking lot in the middle of it. Take a left on that fork to continue on Main Street.
• Drive until you get near the top of the hill, and you will have crossed into the Somerville part of Main Street. Once you are in Somerville, start looking for #47 on the right hand side. It's a big brown house, and there is a Rotary Club sign standing out in front of it.
• Go in through the front door of the brown house and start going up the stairs. The first door that you come to after beginning your ascent will be ours.

From the South:

• 93 North, through Boston until you get to the exit for Routes 28 and 38
• Stay to the left as you come off the ramp and follow the signs for 28 South. Get on 28 South for just a little bit, and stay toward the right.
• After a few lights, you will come to a large intersection where 28 South will meet with Broadway. At that intersection, you will see a Dunkin Donuts ahead of you to the right. Take that right onto Broadway.
• Continue up Broadway until you pass by a Star Market, then a Walgreens, and then Bickford's. After you pass the Bickford's, you will come to a set of lights. At these lights, follow Main Street as it veers off to the right.
• 47 Main Street is just a few houses up on the left. It's a big brown house.
• Go in through the front door of the brown house and start going up the stairs. The first door that you come to after beginning your ascent will be ours.

From the West:

• Take Route 2 until it comes to an end by Alewife, and get on Route 16 East.
• Follow Route 16 through a couple of sets of lights until you see a Foodmaster on your right. After you pass the Foodmaster, you will take your next right on to Powderhouse Boulevard.
• Follow Powderhouse Blvd through a few lights until you get to a big rotary. Get on the rotary and take your 3rd turning onto Broadway.
• Follow Broadway through several sets of lights and several ridiculous intersections until you find yourself going up a big hill. As you ascend the big hill, you will notice a Salvation Army thrift store.
• After you reach the crest of the hill and begin to ascend, you will take a very sharp left at the first traffic light that you come across. That left is onto Main Street.
• 47 Main Street is just a few houses up on the left. It's a big brown house.
• Go in through the front door of the brown house and start going up the stairs. The first door that you come to after beginning your ascent will be ours.
  

Via Public Transportation:

• Take the Orange Line to Sullivan Square
• Exit the station at street level and wait at bus stop sign for the #101 bus going toward Somerville and Medford.
• Get off at the first stop that is officially on Main Street (you will have ridden past a Star Market then a Bickford's Restaurant on your right. This street is Broadway. Wait until you bear right onto Main Street to get off.) Our house is almost immediately across the street from this bus stop: (brownhouse) #47 Main Street
• Go in through the front door of the brown house and start going up the stairs. The first door that you come to after beginning your ascent will be ours.
