Directions

From the North: (Printer Friendly Version)

• 93 South to Exit #30 for Routes 28 and 38 South.
• At the end of the off-ramp take a left onto 38 South (also known as Mystic Ave.).
• Follow 38 South through a few traffic lights until you intersect with Route 28 South (a.k.a. McGrath/O'Brien Highway).
• Take a right on Route 28 South.
• Follow Route 28 South through a couple of traffic lights until you go over a metal railroad bridge. Get in the right lane as you approach the railroad bridge.
• At the light immediately after the metal railroad bridge, take a right.
• Just after you take that right, stay in the left lane and veer left at the next light onto Highland Ave.
• You will pass a couple of streets on your left, and then see Somerville High School on your right. At that point, take a left onto Vinal Ave.
• We are down near the bottom of the hill on the left hand side at #17 Vinal Ave.
• Park anywhere on the street. No permit is required.
• Come in through the side door.

From the South: (Printer Friendly Version)

• 93 North, through Boston until you get to Exit 28 for Sullivan Square.
• Take the Sullivan Square exit and go left at the end of the off ramp onto Washington/Cambridge Street (same street, but the name changes).
• Follow Washington/Cambridge Street through a couple of traffic lights until you get to the McGrath/O'Brian Highway, also known as Route 28 North.
• Take a right on the McGrath/O'Brian Highway and immediately keep to the left.
• As you are ramping up to the highway and keeping to the left, you will see that the highway actually continues off to the right. Instead of following it to the right, you want to go to the light directly in front of you and go straightish (but slightly to the left). If you find yourself going over a metal railroad bridge, you have accidentally followed 28 North. If that is the case, turn around and follow the directions for coming from the north.
• After you go straight through that light, you will veer left at another light shortly after it. This will put you on Highland Ave.
• Pass a couple of streets on your left, and you will see Somerville High School on your right. At that point, take a left onto Vinal Ave.
• We are down near the bottom of the hill on the left hand side at #17 Vinal Ave.
• Park anywhere on the street. No permit is required.
• Come in through the side door.

From the West: (Printer Friendly Version)

• Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to the Allston/Cambridge exit.
• After the toll booth, follow the signs for Cambridge. This will put you on River Street.
• Follow River Street up to Central Square, where you will intersect with Mass. Ave and Prospect Street.
• At that intersection, cross over Mass. Ave and continue straight up Prospect Street for a while until you go over a bridge and see a Dunkin Donuts on your left. This is Union Square.
• At the lights by the Dunkin Donuts, turn left onto Somerville Ave/Washington Street.
• After you turn left, get in the right lane as quickly as possible.
• At the next lights, take a right onto Bow Street. Once on Bow Street, take your second right onto Walnut Street.
• Follow Walnut Street and take your third left onto Aldersley Street.
• Take Aldersley Street to the end and take a left onto Vinal Ave.
• Shortly after you turn onto Vinal Ave, our house will be on the left. We are down near the bottom of the hill on the left hand side at #17 Vinal Ave.
• Park anywhere on the street. No permit is required.
• Come in through the side door.
