Directions To the ShoeShine:

From the North:

  • 93 South to the exit for Route 16 East.
  • At the end of the off-ramp, rather than getting on Route 16, take a right.
  • Immediately, you will see a set of lights. Go straight through those lights, crossing over Route 38, onto Harvard Street.
  • Continue along Harvard Street through two more sets of lights. You will then see a railroad bridge approach.
  • When you go under that railroad bridge, you will come to a set of lights immediately afterward. Go straight through those lights, and Harvard St. will magically become Warner St. (same road, different name).
  • After the church on your right, we are the second house on the right, #48 Warner Street.
  • Park on the street in the immediate area.

From the South:

  • 93 North, through Boston until you get to the exit for Routes 28 and 38.
  • Get on Route 38 North toward Somerville and Medford.
  • When you see an MVP Sports and an Oldsmobile dealer on your left, you will turn left at the next traffic light onto Harvard Street.
  • Continue along Harvard Street through two more sets of lights. You will then see a railroad bridge approach.
  • When you go under that railroad bridge, you will come to a set of lights immediately afterward. Go straight through those lights, and Harvard St. will magically become Warner St. (same road, different name).
  • After the church on your right, we are the second house on the right, #48 Warner Street.
  • Park on the street in the immediate area.

From the West:

  • Take Route 2 until it comes to an end by Alewife, and get on Route 16 East.
  • Follow Route 16 through a couple of sets of lights until you see a Foodmaster on your right.
  • After you pass the Foodmaster, you will take your next right on to Powderhouse Boulevard.
  • Follow Powderhouse Blvd through a few lights until you get to a big rotary.
  • Get on the rotary and take your 4th turning on to Warner st.
  • We are the 10th house on the left, #48 Warner Street
  • Park on the street in the immediate area.

With Public Transportation:

  • Take the Red line to Davis
  • Exit the station via the College Ave exit
  • Coming out the exit, take a right on to College Ave, and walk for about five minutes (ten if you're already drunk) to the big rotary at Powderhouse Square.
  • Walk to the right around the perimeter of the rotary (if you attempt and go straight across, you may not live to tell us an amusing anecdote about it) to Warner Street.
